Bringing Hope Through Resilience.

Suzanne Kline and her inspiring robot dog puppet, Chip Galaxy, are on a mission to bring hope and joy to children in South Florida shelters. Fueled by a story of survival, their initiative offers comfort and encouragement to young lives through books, plush toys, and uplifting storytelling sessions.

Chip Galaxy became a symbol of resilience when he survived an EF3 tornado that struck Suzanne's neighborhood in Palm Beach Gardens. Holding on during the storm, Chip’s survival became a beacon of hope for the community, inspiring Suzanne and the Giz Kids Foundation to share this message of strength with children facing their own challenges.

With help from community volunteers, new children’s books and plush toys will be distributed at shelters, bringing smiles and comfort to kids during tough times. Interactive storytelling sessions led by professional puppeteers will add joy and inspiration, with Chip Galaxy and his friends, including characters from the Woof Chat Kids show, taking center stage to brighten young hearts.

This mission is a celebration of resilience, community spirit, and the power of hope to light the path forward.

Gizmo and Messy Visit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Bring Smiles to Patients and Parent

Gizmo and Messy, created by author Suzanne Kline and coming soon to PBS, put on a show at the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Child Life Zone. The puppets teach kids important lessons about handling challenging situations. The pair interacted with patients, posed for photos, and donated plush Gizmo reading buddies and children's books.

"There's something comforting about a puppet that I think can be very healing," said Kline-Costa. "Most kids are scared coming into hospitals, and it's not an experience you want to take lightly, so I think adding encouragement and comfort is appreciated."

ABC 13 NEWS - Author's past shapes her work with children

ASHEVILLE, NC (WLOS ABC 13) — Every story often has a series of subplots. Author Suzanne Kline's personal story is as empowering as her dog's fictional tale. To fully appreciate that chapter, it helps to know more about her pet project. That hasn't kept her from creating content to help shape the next generation. "So, I'm hoping kids will make a difference as our future leaders," says Kline.

Delray Beach author turns tragedy to triumph after brain injury.

Suzanne Kline is living proof that you can rewrite your own life story. She recently published a children's book, "Surf's Up, Gizmo!" inspired by her service dog of the same name. The book teaches children how to use their imaginations to overcome challenges. But becoming a children's author was something Kline never fathomed she'd attempt.
